Agreement with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public
Policy, National University of Singapore
LKYSPP is a well-reputed school that aims to
attain a status similar to Kennedy School of
Government at Harvard University. It already
has affiliation with Harvard and Columbia
Universities of USA and is fast becoming a
top rated school in the region.
Government of the Punjab, through the Punjab
Resource Management Program, is taking
concrete steps to create systems and
partnerships to develop capacity of the
provincial civil servants. The process of
developing a long term partnership with
National University of Singapore for
building capacity of officers of Government
of the Punjab at Lee Kuan Yew School of
Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University
of Singapore, was initiated during a visit
to Singapore of Secretary P&D Department and
Program Director, Punjab Resource Management
Program.
After long discussions with LKYSPP, they
have agreed to enter into a cost sharing
arrangement for bright and young provincial
civil servants for pursuing studies leading
to Master Degree in Public Administration (MPA).
2 PMS officer have already left for LKYSPP
w.e.f 23rd July, 2007 to undertake Mater in
Public Administration (MPA).
An agreement is about to be signed between
the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP)
and the Government of Punjab in this regard,
in the presence of Chief Minister, Punjab,
during the visit of Mr. Kishore Mahbubani,
Dean LKYSPP, to Lahore in September, 2007.
