Short Training Courses on Procurement Issues at Civil Service College, Singapore

Government of the Punjab has launched many reforms in the field of Public Financial Management including Procurement. Procurement Law has been enacted, Procurement Regulatory Authority has been established and modern concepts of Procurement have been introduced into Punjab Government. It is, therefore, necessary that officers who deal with Procurement in Government of the Punjab may be trained in order to equip them with the new methods and concepts of Procurement in Public Sector.

In this connection, PRMP has organized a short course on “New Approaches to Procurement” in coordination with Civil Service College Singapore from 26th November to 7th December, 2007 in Singapore. An outline of the said course along with course objectives and program format, prepared by CSCI. Modules taught in these training courses will be valuable for the officers dealing with Procurement issues. Moreover, the officers sent to attend the said course will be requested to hold a debriefing session with the officers of Government of the Punjab subsequently.
